Climate Justice Network in Bangladesh (CJNB)
Samprity Aid Foundation has taken a landmark initiative to establish a Civil Society Organization (CSO) network named “Climate Justice Network in Bangladesh (CJNB)”, bringing together 60 member organizations from 60 districts across the country. The network aims to foster collective action, collaboration, and advocacy to protect and promote the rights of climate-vulnerable communities in Bangladesh.
The CJNB, led by Samprity Aid Foundation, is envisioned as a national platform to unite diverse civil society actors, NGOs, and grassroots organizations working on climate change, environmental justice, and sustainable development. The initiative seeks to amplify local voices, promote inclusive climate governance, and influence policy reformation for equitable climate action.
Speaking about the initiative, Mr. Savaronjon Sikder, Executive Director of Samprity Aid Foundation, emphasized that climate change disproportionately affects marginalized communities, including women, children, and people with disabilities. “Only through joint efforts and a unified voice can we ensure justice and resilience for those most affected by climate impacts,” he stated.
The CJNB network will focus on capacity building, advocacy campaigns, research, knowledge sharing, and community-based climate adaptation. It will also facilitate cooperation between government institutions, NGOs, and local communities to promote sustainable and inclusive climate solutions.
Through this initiative, Samprity Aid Foundation continues its commitment to empowering local actors and creating a nationwide movement for climate justice and resilience in Bangladesh.
