Climate Justice Network in Bangladesh (CJNB)

Climate Justice Network in Bangladesh (CJNB)

Samprity Aid Foundation has established and is leading the Climate Justice Network in Bangladesh (CJNB) — a national alliance comprising 60 Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) from 60 districts across the country. The network was formed to create a united platform for raising collective voices and actions to promote climate justice, equity, and resilience, particularly for climate-vulnerable communities.

As part of its long-term vision, CJNB aims to establish a Climate Justice and Resilience Network Secretariat with an integrated Training and Resource Center, serving as a national resource hub on climate issues. The Secretariat will function as a center for capacity building, policy dialogue, research, and advocacy, connecting local actions with national and global climate movements. The integrated center will offer training programs on climate adaptation, mitigation, and resilience; develop community-based climate solutions; and facilitate data-driven policy recommendations for inclusive climate governance.

Through this initiative, CJNB seeks to strengthen community capacity by empowering local leaders, women, and youth as Climate Ambassadors who can lead awareness and action in their respective regions. It will also foster knowledge sharing, cross-learning, and innovation through partnerships with government agencies, academic institutions, and international organizations.

Ultimately, the Climate Justice and Resilience Network Secretariat will act as a dynamic platform for coordination and collaboration, ensuring that the voices of marginalized and climate-affected populations are represented in decision-making processes—thereby promoting a climate-just, resilient, and sustainable Bangladesh.
